[서울시립대학교박물관] An Invitation to Explore the Korean Language and Hangeul with Professor Dr. Huwe

How do the Korean language and Hangeul, which we use every day, come across to speakers of other languages?

In 2026, marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Hangeul Day and the 580th anniversary of the proclamation of Hunminjeongeum, the University of Seoul Museum invites you to a Global Citizen Lecture with Professor Huwe.

A professor emeritus at the University of Bonn in Germany, Professor Huwe is familiar to many through the television programme “대한외국인”, where he charmed audiences with his fluent Korean and deep understanding of Korean culture. Drawing on both German and Korean, he will share his insights into the distinctive qualities of the Korean language and Hangeul.
